Joining AFWJ

Who Can Join?

"Any woman of any national or cultural origin, other than a Japanese born and raised in Japan, who is engaged to, is or has been married to, or is, or has been in a de-facto relationship with a person of Japanese national or cultural origin is eligible for membership." 

AFWJ is inclusive of transgender women and non-binary/gender fluid people. We welcome our LGBTQ+ members.

New & Rejoining members

Dues

Our dues fund the AFWJ Journal, the AFWJ website, Zoom services,  and much more.

  • The membership dues are ¥6,000 per year.
  • Annual membership runs from January 1st - December 31st.
  • For new members only, dues will be prorated from the month of joining until the end of the year.

Payment Options: 

  • Online - by credit card
  • Offline - Post Office / Bank transfer or furikae yoshi (at the Post Office)
